Film director by vocation, proven production/communications expert by experience, and civil activist by conviction, Darko is the founder and President of Dokukino, a man whose vision and tirelessness have been driving the Foundation forward since day one. While still at school, Darko acquired considerable knowledge of the media, having worked as journalist, content editor and live presenter on the radio. After graduation, his next leap was into the world of PR and communications, in which he acquired plenty of practical experience, before starting Dokukino in 2010. At Dokukino, Darko’s main role entails working with clients and envisioning social good campaigns aligned with both clients’ wishes and communal benefits. Some day, after his fight for a better society with Dokukino is finally realized, he will probably go on to fulfill his lifelong dream of directing the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. He also might be logorrheic, a great advantage for the rest of the team, who benefit from his ideas.

As President of Foundation Dokukino, Darko is involved in regular communication and networking with donors, businesses and governments, involved in Foundation’s activities. Darko leads the team of 13 people in order to achieve proactive regional market overview and development of new regional markets. Leveraging Foundation’s programmes onto regional and European levels. Among other tasks, he is involved in extensive work with partners and networks run by the Foundation. Darko evaluates the programme portfolio (strategy, content, budget, and branding), overview Executive Director’s work and the team output in order to understand and builds stronger possibilities for new approaches on the market.

Darko is public, key note speaker and appears often on inspirational boost/workshops at high-end events around region and Europe. Representing the Foundation in various bodies that Foundation is part of. Darko produces creative direction and account management on most complex Foundation’s communication efforts. He is creative lead on most innovative new media-based campaigns for various civil society actors, businesses and governments around the region. Also, Darko leads public relations throughout various programme projects, campaigns and productions. In the end, Darko’s role is to develops and implements new strategies in the area of social communications, democracy, human right and rule of law.
