Project – Arts Academy in Belgrade
’’There’s a great number of students, both in state and private Universities in Serbia, who misses most of their classes, fail exams and doesn’t graduate on time, only because they are not able to recognize the importance and perspective of applying what they study in real life. As a consequence, we have an obvious lack of motivation for personal and professional development.’’ What’s the role of a professor as a coach? Could incorporating coaching methodology in everyday classes at University contribute to strengthening academic community? Why is the individual approach towards every student so important? The Arts Academy in Belgrade has recognized the importance of coaching methodology and introduced it as an everyday part of their curriculum. Attendance of students in their classes was increased by 40%, whereas their engagement in extracurricular activities was increased by 50%.
